Tac! It's been a while, but for some reason you fantastic bastards never left my heart.
I think it's because you helped me keep my nutty little head screwed on during some of the most transitory years of my life between 15 and 18. I learned a lot about myself through you in ways that could have been avoided entirely especially during that age if it were only face-to-face conversations with neighborhood friends.
TAC was a furiously degenerate binary dive for disenfranchised youth who were catching a glimpse of the social networking that would eventually become a part of everybody's life.
While we disconnected from one world , we plugged into another and when we re-surfaced we were nothing like what our peers and betters warned us we'd be. We became things magnificent.
Look at you all! You've married, had kids, become professionals, entertainers, inspirations, teachers and techies! punk rockers and home-makers! YOU'VE BLOOMED SO WELL!
I have no idea if I'm too late in posting here. I don't know if any of you even really remember me that well. I just wanted to say thanks for being what you were and doing what you did, even if I hated it. Even if I at a point I regretted it. Even if I was lectured for spending too much time smacking the keys with you guys (which I was)
Be good, do well, rock hard, and live like you have won, because you have.

HOT DAMN I remembered my password.
I absolutely know what you mean. It always sounds lame saying it but Palace was such a huge part of my adolescence and it's something I can't share with many people because they have no similar experiences. It was, in a lot of ways, an outlet. I was the only one really online among my real life friends and they thought I was sort of crazy for so fully embracing it. I'd always felt sort of different, and have realized that a lot of my friends at the time were just my friends due to the geography of going to the same school. I didn't really have anything in common with most of them. At TAC, we were all a little different, and it was great to be accepted for that. The internet was still new and novel felt down right magical. It was like this whole other world, and not something that was integrated into absolutely everything. My mom at the time was worried I was addicted to the internet, but it gave me friends that I work harder to bridge the gaps in geography and lifestyle to talk to and visit then some of my "real" friends from then.

SOLID! MOONBUNNY!! YOU LIVE! *HI FIEV!*
Hot crackers! I'm still in the running! Btw I just noticed I dropped in on this forum as Amon in 08, thought it was dead, wandered off. I got a few replies and saw mei respond too! Anyone know if she's still around here?
Anyways, for reasons I don't understand, G+ doesn't like that my name had a number in it and decided to blacklist me. If you're interested in keeping in touch with me though use my gmail addy up there! I check it all the time!

that gmail addy can be used as G+ just take the number out... though most of us are using our IRL screen names

I mean no offense if your real name has a number in it, but have you tried removing the numbers? We're talking about the First/Last name you've given Google, not the actual gmail address. I don't think the bans are forever.
BTW, good to see you're alive too!

Richie just reconnected me with the board and the new TAC. My mind seriously just got blown. I feel like I found a time machine and am a teenager all over again.
So many familiar names. I went through a few variations but most of you probably knew me as PS, Princess Serenity, Mikachan...
I'm a Visual Designer based in Chicago now. Crazy times.

So many familiar names. I went through a few variations but most of you probably knew me as PS, Princess Serenity, Mikachan... Oh my god. Mika! It's been ages! You used to hang out with Rich as well, I recall. On Palace I was known as Eiji in the earliest days, or later on I was Gourry [Eiji] When I wanted a name change but also wanted friends to still know it was me. I don't know how often we talked to each other, as I don't remember if I ever quite found my place among Rich's circle of friends, I recall I was mostly just there to chat with Rich to be honest. But I *do* remember chatting with you at least somewhat. I can't quite recall clearly, but I remember following you guys to CT at least briefly. However, TAC kept calling me back until I eventually stayed there. I think I kept in touch with Rich over ICQ for a while after that but eventually I just stopped talking to him for whatever reason, and he never tried to strike up a conversation either until one or both of us just stopped logging into ICQ, so that was that. This same thing happened with pretty much all my palace friends eventually and I'm not proud of it. Come to the new TAC anytime you want to chat! I'm pretty much always there unless I'm at work or sleeping. Even if I'm idle I'm usually right there in the same room as my laptop, and I always react to the sign-in noise when I hear it - you never know when someone you haven't talked to for 10 or more years will just randomly drop in! Alternatively, you can also reach me on AIM: ExelSan, or on Skype, which is "tenshigami." with the dot, but without the quotes. (Rich, if you see this, feel free to contact me as well. I should have asked about up-to-date contact info from you when you dropped by TAC for a surprise visit last night while I had the chance but I didn't.)
