Just a heads up for all you SBC yahoo users, They suck switch now.
I went to go check my e-mail and it wasnt accepting my password. so I go to check it from Yahoo's site. It tells me that I've called them and told them I wish to disconect. At first I was thinking "What the crap? Did my password get stolen?" Oh how I only wish.
So I call them up and ask them what's the deal. They tell me I owe them $74.95 and I need to pay them now. I told them that I already payed them the $84.41 they wanted.
To give you a little back story on why my bill is so high, see SBC offers DSL at a discount price. however rather than Give you the discount price they charge you the full price then give you "discount credit". Well they "messed up" in accounting and gave me two discount credits tus lowering one mothly bill to like $14. however they dont see this till you've paid your bill, pretty convient for them huh? So they charge you full price the next month and use the excuse "its not fair to us." so the bill runs about $120. Well $120 is alot so your allowed to pay half and still keep your stuff going. I did that, well on top of the bill already being $75 a month, it just adds up over time.
So anyway they forword me to billing, I told them that I paid the ammount they asked for to keep my stuff running($84.41) and I have the payment code in front of me. Well they turn around and say "Sorry sir that was only to keep your phone up and working. if you want to keep your internet going, you'll have to pay $74.95. we state that in your bill." Well I have the bill in front of me and it doesnt say this anywhere, and they've never done this before. In fact they never had a problem with me only paying half. I come to find out that They might keep my internet working but any extras (such as e-mail) will be shut off till I give them their money.
My credit sucks enough as is but its just about to get worse. I can't pay this and next months bill is already going to insanely high due to curent charges on top of next month's bill. I'm pissed....Its not the fact that they shut off my e-mail, or they'll shut off the internet. its the fact that they stone cold screwed me and they'll get away with it and I'm the one Who'll suffer for it.
